We’ve had a very busy penultimate week here in Year 5!
Sports Day was a roaring success, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the various events. We also had a great time during our session with the PE Service.
It’s been a week full of maths, too. Luckily, Year 5 loves a challenge, and everyone has approached each lesson with enthusiasm and a smile. Today, we practised measuring in centimetres and converting our measurements into inches and feet.
In our final history lesson, the children created some fantastic posters all about the Vikings’ impact on Britain. This topic has been a real favourite with the whole class.
In art this term, we’ve been learning about installation art. This week, we began designing our own installations, focusing on scale and shape. Working in groups, we started stage one of our creations, and we can’t wait to complete them next week.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
