This week, Year 2 have been busy learning and exploring across all subjects!
In Maths, the children have been counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s, growing in confidence with their number patterns.
In English, they have been sequencing the story Jim and the Beanstalk and using time openers to help retell the story in the correct order.
In RE, we have started our new unit on Baptism, where we’ll be learning about different symbols and their meanings.
We also concluded our Art unit on drawing this week. The children brought in their own bears to draw — we had great fun observing details and adding texture to our work using the skills we’ve learned throughout the term.
In Science, we investigated how exercise affects our heart rate. The children enjoyed taking part in the experiments and making careful observations.
It has been a fantastic first half term — the children have worked so hard and should be very proud of themselves.
Have a lovely holiday, everyone!
