We’ve had a wonderfully creative week here in Year 5!
This week, our Craft Club resumed with a Valentine’s theme, giving the children an opportunity to showcase their creative talents during their lunch break. The children crafted beautiful prayer trees, which have added some meaningful and colourful additions to our prayer table.
A group of children also planned and led a heartfelt Celebration of the Word. They selected scripture related to the work we’ve been exploring in class, read it beautifully, and created a peaceful, prayerful atmosphere in our classroom.
In science, we conducted experiments investigating dissolving and evaporation. We were excited to see that our predictions were correct, and we also learnt some fascinating new science vocabulary along the way.
As part of our English topic, we used drama to delve into the minds of our main characters. We found key quotations, recorded them using correct punctuation, and will use them to enhance our character profiles.
