Last week was a busy one here in Year 5. Everyone had the opportunity to plan and write their own scripts based on The Tempest, and they are absolutely brilliant!

In science, we continued with our space topic, learning all about the phases of the moon.

As part of our work in RE, we explored the beautiful painting The Light of the World by William Holman Hunt. We discussed the scripture that inspired this remarkable artwork and reflected on the symbolism within it.

On Wednesday, we visited St Mary’s Cathedral, where we took part in a beautiful carol concert with other Year 5 classes from across the city. Everyone sang wonderfully! Afterwards, we explored the Christmas market, participated in a French workshop, and ordered our own crêpes in French.

What an amazing week!
