We've had a fantastic week in Year 5!
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we explored Shakespeare and his brilliant play Much Ado About Nothing. We discovered some of the wonderful words Shakespeare introduced to the English language, got to know the characters from the play, and even created our own masks for the masquerade ball.
We were also fortunate to be invited to St Mary’s for a spiritual retreat—a lovely way to begin the season of Lent. We took part in a range of meaningful activities, including using LEGO to build our 'happy places', making our own rosaries, and even playing Jenga. Back in class, we reflected on the season by making our own Lenten promises.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
