What an exciting week we’ve had here in Year 5!
In Maths, our focus has been on shape. We have explored both 2D and 3D shapes, measured angles, and tackled lots of tricky shape problems with great enthusiasm.
In English, we’ve been learning about the subjunctive form. We used this to write some fantastic advice for the main character in our class story. Afterwards, we created some wonderful bunting to showcase all of our thoughtful suggestions.
In RHE, we have been exploring Catholic Social Teaching. We worked collaboratively to create superheroes who embody the principles of Catholic Social Teaching — a fun and meaningful way to bring these ideas to life!
Our ICT lesson was all about E-safety. We discussed how to make informed decisions based on the information available online. We also turned our attention to biography writing, using Microsoft Word to create informative texts about Greta Thunberg, based on our research.
