Collective Worship

January 2025
A group of children in Year 5 planned and led their weekly Celebration of the Word.  They chose scripture based on their 'Mission' topic and the work they have been doing about the SVP. It was a beautiful and thoughtful celebration.
Some children from Year 2 came to lead worship with the children in Year 1. They then showed them how they had planned the session and worked with a group to plan next week’s session.
Thank you to our first team of worship planners who have used our new Collective Worship resource, Let's Pray Together to plan and prepare an act of worship for their class next week.
Happy New Year! Welcome back to school. We hope you had a restful Christmas break. It’s wonderful to begin the Holy Father’s Year of Jubilee together, where we will all be Pilgrims of Hope.
December 2024
Our Faith in Action team led families in a beautiful Advent reflection this morning.
Year 1 shared a Celebration of the Word with their families. They told everyone about the start of Advent and how we need to prepare for the birth of the baby Jesus. They told us their Advent promises and laid cloths in the cradle to get it ready for Jesus.
November 2024
This morning, Year 4 shared their message about reconciliation with the rest of the school during their Celebration of the Word.
This morning, some of our Faith in Action  team, along with other members  of our school family helped lead the Remembrance Service after mass, at Sacred Heart.
October 2024
Fr Michael came into school to say mass. It was made even more special as our new Reception children joined us for the first time.
Our Faith in Action Team met again this week. Their home task last week was to share the Faith in Action prayer with family and friends.
Year 6 shared their Celebration of the Word about loving others and showing care to those around us, with their families.
Year 2 ended their week with some creative worship in the form of a simple Daily Examen.
September 2024
The children in Year 2 led a beautiful Celebration of the Word this morning, thank you for joining us in prayer.
Some children in Year 5 planned and led a Celebration of the Word as a prayerful ending to their RE topic 'Ourselves'. They chose the scripture they wanted to share, the hymns and the responses. Everyone read beautifully and it was a lovely way to end such a lovely topic.
