This week in Reception Class we have been looking at 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers. It is a beautiful book which celebrates our amazing planet and all the creatures that live within it. From this we have located where we live on a map, learnt about the name of our continent, country, city and home and how to say "Hello" in some different languages.
The children used a 'Plan, Do, Review' session to work together in small groups to work out what a baby needs to eat, drink and stay warm. These 3 elements were mentioned in the book as being the most important things we need to remember when looking after ourselves.
