Year 3 had a fantastic trip to The Discovery Museum. The workshop all about light was fantastic and everybody learnt so much about light sources and how light travels. We also had a chance to look around some of the museum and got a head start on our next geography topic by looking at how jobs have changed over the last 200 years.
In English this week, we started our new writing unit based on 'The Magic Paintbrush' by Julia Donaldson. We had a lovely lesson listening to some traditional Chinese music, looking at pictures of Ancient China and drawing images in the sand just like Shen (the heroine in our new book).
In maths, we have continued our lessons all about fractions. We have used number-lines, scales, bar models and measuring jugs to help us to understand the whole.
