This week in Reception Class we have been looking at our feelings. Using the book 'The Colour Monster' by Anna Llenas we have been talking a lot about what happy, sad, angry and excited look like on our faces and have been beginning to think about how each of these emotions make us feel. We have been expressing these feelings through some emotions art and using lots of stories with characters who have big feelings to help demonstrate how we can manage ourselves and our emotions in tricky situations. The class have also enjoyed drawing these emotions onto cut out faces and exploring the different things our features do when feeling different ways.
