This week in Reception Class we have been looking at The Hindu Festival of Diwali. We found out all about Rama and Sita, made our own Rangolis and heard the story of 'Lakshmi and the Clever Washerwoman'.
We have continued to investigate 1,2 and 3 by comparing each amount and understanding that as we count, each number is 1 more than the number that came before. Similarly as we count back, each number is 1 less than the previous number.
In PE, Julie used the Julia Donaldson story 'Room on the Broom' for a Halloween themed yoga on Monday, we used the story of Rama and Sita to create a dance with and also explored traditional Hindu music by using pom-poms as fireworks.
