Year 3 have worked very hard this week. In English, we are looking at writing instructions using the wonderful book 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'. We have been learning all about prepositions, imperative verbs and adverbs of time and have written some wonderful sentences using these.
We finished our RE topic Baptism this week. Several children planned and led a liturgical prayer to celebrate the end of such a lovely topic. They chose the scripture, hymns and psalms and all read beautifully.
In art, we began our new topic all about prehistoric artists. We looked at cave pairings and discussed the style they are painted in and what the artists used for paint. The children began to plan and sketch their own art work based on British wildlife in the style of prehistoric artists.
