What a wonderful week we have had in Year 3! In maths, we began our new unit 'time'. We made clocks to help us, revisited and recapped everything we learnt in Year 2 and practised reading the time on analogue clocks.
As part of our science topic, we looked at various materials and used magnets to find out of they were magnetic or not. We looked at coins and were surprised to find that some coins are magnetic and some are not. We discovered that it depends on the year the coin was made.
We finished our explanation texts in English and wrote some amazing texts all about the history of the colours red and purple, We were inspired by the amazing book 'The Colours of History' by Clive Gifford.
