It's been another busy week in Year 2.
In maths we have been ordering numbers from smallest to greatest and greatest to smallest. We have also been using the greater and less than sign.

In English we have written a description of a dark, damp forest. We have worked hard to include expanded noun phrases, a range of punctuation, ambitious and imaginative vocabulary and different types of sentences.

In RE we are continuing to learn about different symbols used in baptism. This week we have focused on water and oil.

Our science work this week has focused on what humans and animals need in order to survive. We all knew that air, water and food are  the 3 basic needs, however,  we also felt sleep, exercise and a home were the next 3 needs on our list of basic needs.

We learned more about the men involved in the Gunpowder Plot this week. We used a picture source to identify those involved and those not involved in the plot.

In PE this week we have been practising our sending and receiving skills. We also worked on hitting a target.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, see you all bright and early on Monday. x
