This week in Reception Class we have continued our focus of Autumn with some themed caption writing and wreath making. We have also looked at comparing amounts with items in our outdoor classroom and started exploring size, mass and capacity in the sand and water areas. Using the story, 'A squash and a squeeze' by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler we re-enacted the story but with a hoola-hoop as the house - we had lots of good discussion about how the house feels as the story progresses.
In phonics this week we have been reviewing all of our sounds and Harder to Read and Spell words that we have introduced so far.
