Welcome back everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday.
Year 2 have had a very busy week.
The children have started a new English unit of the work and the text they are focusing on is ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark. We have already produced some fantastic writing using expanded noun phrases, alliteration, and similes.
Our science unit this term is a biology unit on plants. We started the unit focussing on identifying and understanding key vocabulary.
Our art work this half term will be inspired by maps. In the lesson this week, children were asked to create their own map including things they see on their way to school as well as things they wish they could see on their journey.
