This week in Reception Class we have been reflecting on our experience of having the chicks with us. We have been writing about what we learnt and enjoyed and also added some speech and thought bubbles to pictures of the chicks.
In Maths, we have been consolidating our 'teen' numbers by working with 2 ten frames to build numbers beyond 10.
In Music, we have been learning about 'tempo' and 'beat'. We got to listen to lots of examples of these with clocks ticking and a recording of a heart beating. We then looked for the beat within songs that we already know. We had lots of fun moving our bodies in different ways in time to the music.
In PE, we had our first carousel of gymnastics stations. We used woodlands animals to jump, roll and move like at each station.
On Friday, we made split pin soldiers, crowns, and learnt all about King Charles III's life before he was King. Everyone looked fab dressed in red, white and blue.
