Everyone has returned to school smiling and ready to learn. The children loved their first lesson in their new history topic all about Ancient Egypt. They asked some brilliant questions and produced some lovely work..
In maths, we have started our new topic all about fractions. We have learnt all about the difference between unit and non-unit fractions and have learnt lots of new maths vocabulary.
As part of our new science topic 'light', we looked at natural and artificial sources of light and everyone is excited for next week's trip where we will have a chance to conduct our own experiments.
In RE this week, the children looked in detail at the 'Liturgy of The Word' and how important The Word is to Christians. We looked at different pieces of scripture and the children provided some fantastic thoughts on what it means to them.
