Year 1 have made an excellent start to the new school year. They have had lots of fun exploring their new classroom and getting started with all their busy jobs!
They have begun investigating in Science by looking at foot size and whether the tallest people have the biggest feet!
In Maths, they have been exploring sorting objects, representing numbers and counting numbers and objects to 10.
In English, they have been recapping on their phonic skills and using these to help them write sentences.
They have been looking at new vocabulary in their Music lesson and have enjoyed playing different games while looking at the pulse and tempo of music.
This week, they also had a visit from the Dog's Trust, who taught them how to stay safe around dogs and how to help keep them happy!
