Hello everyone,
We have had a wonderful start to our year 2 journey.
We have made a great start in our English lessons. We have written our own versions of the story ‘Maisie’s Dragon’ by Philippa Danvers. In our own versions of the story we included some very interesting characters
In maths we have been working hard to consolidate place value using different maths equipment. We are also working hard to secure our ability to read and write number in word form.
Our science this term focuses on animals and humans. We have been learning about different animal groups and how some animal babies look like their adult when they begin life and how some do not.
Our geography so far this term has focused on naming the 7 continents and 5 oceans of the world.
As we begin our year 2 journey, we have been learning about the story of creation and how God was there at the beginning of the world.
It has been lovely getting to know all the children over the past few weeks and I know we are going to have a fantastic year full of fun.
