This week in Reception Class we have been looking at circles and triangles and the properties of each shape. We did this by looking at 3 of Kandinsky's paintings: Concentric Circles, On the Points and The Red Dot. The children had a go at making their own Concentric Circles by colour mixing and painting their circles within a grid. We have looked at spatial awareness and the language that comes with it, "please sit the teddy next to the books". We went on a Bear Hunt outside for Pudsey and Paddington and took part in an obstacle course which involved explaining what they were doing by using their positional language.
Reception Class had a picnic with their special friends on Thursday and they came together again in the afternoon to create some beautiful shared drawings.
