Year 3 have have had a wonderful week and a great start to the last half term of the year. They had a brilliant trip to Seven Stories and took part in a workshop 'Dare,Dream, Believe' which is linked to our class reader 'Where the River Runs Gold'. This involved learning all about how we can save the environment, completing some art work and listening and reading books all about our planet. They were also lucky enough to view and handle original illustrations from the first Wombles book. The Wombles were the book characters tiding up our capital city with their litter picking on Wimbledon Common. We also spent looking around some of the wonderful galleries and were all inspired to read new books and write more stories.
In science, we began our new topic all about 'The James Webb telescope' which everyone is very excited about.
