Thank you to everyone who joined us for Carols on the Yard this afternoon! It was a fantastic way to end the term, sharing festive tunes and holiday cheer.
Our Faith in Action team led families in a beautiful Advent reflection this morning.
Year 5 and Year 6 shared the Christmas story beautifully in church, bringing its meaning to life in a thoughtful and heartfelt way. A stunning performance—well done to all the staff and children involved!
The Christmas Choir brought some festive cheer to Gosforth Shopping Centre. Thanks to all who came to listen to us sing and for your kind donations.
Members of our school and parish family joined together for a beautiful Carols by Candlelight service at Sacred Heart Church, sharing the true meaning of Christmas. A heartfelt thank you to all who took part.
Year 1 ended their RE unit by sharing God’s love in action! They created thoughtful Christmas cards for residents at a local care home, spreading festive cheer and wishing them a Merry Christmas!
A reminder that this weekend is Bambinelli Sunday, when children are invited to bring the knitted Baby Jesus they brought home from school last week to Mass at either St. Charles’ or Sacred Heart for a blessing.
A huge well done to Year 3 and Year 4 for their incredible Nativity performances this week! They truly spread the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you to all the children and staff for your hard work and amazing effort.
Everyone looked wonderfully festive in their Christmas jumpers today for Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day! A big thank you for all your generous donations supporting this amazing cause.
Inspired by their class reader 'Kick' by Mitch Johnson, Year 5—supported by the Mini Vinnies & Sports Council—hosted a fantastic fundraising morning for Key Stage 2! All proceeds go to Save the Children. Well done to all the winners!
Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 gave an amazing Nativity performance this week! They sang, spoke and danced with passion, sharing the true meaning of Christmas. A huge well done to all the children and staff for their hard work!
Year 5 had a wonderful morning out today. They joined the other catholic schools in Newcastle for a beautiful carol concert at St Mary's Cathedral.
The Year 5 Mini Vinnies created some amazing posters today to help us to prepare for Christmas Jumper Day on the 12th of December.
This Thursday is the 3rd parent workshop with Children North East on parent wellbeing and self care. All welcome and feel free to stay for the SENDco drop in with Mrs Summersby afterwards.
Well done to our amazing choir who sang after mass, this morning. It was a wonderful way to start Advent and the Christmas season.

All children watched CAFOD's Advent National Assembly. As the season of Advent  begins, we are reminded to be ready and prepared for when Jesus comes. All children took home an Advent prayer card as a reminder that we are getting ready to welcome Jesus in to the world.
Our Faith in Action Team have been busy preparing Advent resources to use in school and at home.
As part of our UK Parliament Week activities, we welcomed Minister McKinnell to school. She talked to us about the role of an MP. The children loved hearing about what she does and asked some excellent questions to find out more!
At their meeting tonight, our Faith in Action team worked hard to plan an Act of Worship. Over the coming weeks they will spend time in every class leading the Act of Wordship they have planned.
Year 1 and Year 6 had some special friends time, this afternoon! They worked together to created some decorations for the Gosforth Shopping Centre. They are looking forward to finishing them next week!
Everyone was very excited to have a visit from Pudsey Bear! He loved hearing about our plans to support Children In Need on Friday!
Year 1 created some beautiful artwork for Remembrance Day. They learnt about the importance of the poppy in remembering those who gave their lives for us.
Some of our Faith in Action  team, along with other members  of our school family helped lead the Remembrance Service after mass, at Sacred Heart.
In November, we are focusing on Stewardship for our Catholic Social teaching theme.
The Mini Vinnies met in school today to prepare for BBC Children In Need They worked together to create some wonderful posters to advertise this brilliant cause.
If you have any old cables, leads or chargers at home, please bring them into school and help us win vouchers for Waterstones and some Newcastle United prizes. There is a blue bin by the main entrance to school where the items can be dropped off. Thanks in advance for any help!
Our Faith in Action Team met again this week. Their home task last week was to share the Faith in Action prayer with family and friends.
The wellbeing crew led us in an assembly for World Mental Health Day. They talked about the importance of looking after ourselves and suggested ways we can support our wellbeing. 
Year 2 learned a bit more about how Fairtrade helps to ensure that the rights of workers are respected and made links to our first Catholic Social Teaching principle, Distributive Justice.
This month, our Catholic Social Teaching focus is Distributive Focus.
Year 6 have been working hard to do some information gathering with Year 1 and Year 2. They asked lots of questions about bullying and keeping ourselves safe, as they are in the process of writing our child friendly anti bullying policy.
